摘要
Adolescence is a critical stage of development that has been widely neglected in clinical research. Only limited epidemiological data and relatively few youth-specific diagnostic methods are available and there is also a lack of appropriate therapeutic approaches. The main emphasis of this issue is on diagnosis of mental health disorders in adolescence. Affective disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder are discussed in detail. Furthermore, aspects of body dissatisfaction and problems regarding body perception are also covered.
