摘要

According to theoretical analysis and mathematical derivation, a new model to calculate the frictional pressure drop of gas-liquid two-phase flow in tubes is proposed. Experimental data for frictional pressure drop of water-steam two-phase flow in helical coils is correlated using the calculation model. It is found that a two-phase pressure drop correlation developed by the experimental data of one helical coiled tube can predict the two-phase pressure drop of another helical coiled tube within the scope of similar working parameters on condition that the expression of correlation is modified in helix geometry. The present correlation is compared with different correlations, and it achieves the better performance of prediction for the experimental data by different researchers. The calculation model, which reveals the relationship between different helical coils for the frictional pressure-drop experimental results of two-phase flow and enlarges the range of validity of correlations, can be extended to engineering applications.
