摘要
Fasciolosis is a worldwide parasitic disease in human and domestic animals. The causative agents of fasciolosis are Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica but, in Cuba, only F hepatica has been notified. As others neglected diseases, E hepatica is more common in people living in rural areas where infected animals, intermediate hosts and susceptible hosts coexist. We describe the clinical features of a case that could contribute to the process of continuing medical education of health professionals in our geographic area.
