摘要

In civil engineering Ultrasonic measurement techniques have been applied successfully for investigations of concrete components for a long time. Several probes can be arranged in an array to improve the focusing of the sound beam. For the development of probe arrays it is advisable to model the influence of the array size, the probe arrangement and the test frequency on the sound field in advance. For this purpose modelling based on the elastodynamic finite integration technique (EFIT) and point source synthesis are successfully used in practice. Shear wave point contact probes are often used to set up probe arrays. Therefore, the shear wave modelling is described in detail. Based on experiments and calculations the influence of the probe positions on the radiation pattern is demonstrated.
