Application of ECS in metal material separation based on ANSYS

摘要

Wide application of metal materials resulted in a lack of resources. The mental scarcity has become a bottleneck which restricts the development of our industry and affects the continuous development of society and economy. Scrap metal recycling is an inevitable choice to solve mental resources shortage. So it is very important to separate the different scrap mental materials accurately. The eddy current sensor (ECS) has becomes an effective method for nondestructive testing technology and have been widely used in metal materials detection. In this paper, the basic principle of ECS ranging is introduced, modeling and simulating the different scrap mental materials is described. We also establish models based on ANSYS from three aspects of magnetic field distribution, magnetic induction intensity and equivalent impedance of sensor coil. The simulation results show that scrap mental materials can be effectively detected and separated by using ECS.
