A new high frequency stability SAW oscillator

摘要

As the key component of surface acoustic wave (SAW) gas sensor, the frequency stability of SAW oscillator affects directly the sensitivity and threshold detection level. Thus, the improvement of SAW oscillator frequency stability is the key to SAW gas sensor research. A new oscillator with high frequency stability (0.1 × 10-6) based on SAW dual delay-line on ST-X quartz with low insertion loss (within 10 dB) and single-mode control was developed. In addition, the effects to the frequency stability resulting from the quality factor (expressed by Q-value) of SAW delay line and temperature of the oscillator circuit system are described, and the ways of improving the frequency stability of the SAW oscillator are investigated.
