The AC/DC/AC converter cooperating with asynchronous generator in small hydroelectric power plants is discussed in the article. The asynchronous generator cooperates with grid or separated group of receivers enabling to generate energy even at low speed of the turbine. The results of the generator and AC/DC/AC converter investigations in steady and transient states during start-up and voltage decay are discussed in the article.
