We use the Galois action on pi('et)(1) (P1/Q-{0, 1,infinity}) to show that the homotopy equivalence S-1 boolean AND (G(m,Q) V G(m,Q)) congruent to S-1 boolean AND (P-Q(1) - {0, 1,infinity}) coming from purity, does not desuspend to a map G(m,Q) V G(m,Q) -> P-Q(1) - {0, 1,infinity}.
