摘要

According to the characteristics of uniform circular array (UCA), a method using phase differences to estimate two-dimensional direction of arrival (2-D DOA) is proposed. By analyzing the varying regularity of phase differences between adjacent array elements, the corresponding relationship between the phase differences and the azimuth, elevation angle of incident signals is educed. On this basis the closed-form solutions of azimuth and elevation is gotten. When phase ambiguity appears in phase difference measuring, a new algorithm of solving phase difference ambiguity is proposed to improve the robustness of the proposed 2-D DOA estimation algorithm. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method is able to achieve 2-D DOA estimation effectively even when the phase ambiguity exists.
