A new active contour model based on Pulse Coupled Neural Network and PSO

摘要

A new active contour model based on Pulse Coupled Neural Networks (PCNN) is provided, which is called the PCNN-Snake. The concept of the image gravitation can make the snake points reach the edge of the hallow object. PCNN is used in this model to avoid the snake points reach the noise point. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is also used in this new model to select the threshold of the PCNN-Snake, which can make the snake point reach the edge better. The experiment shows that the boundary of the hollow objects can be reached better and faster in the new model, and there is a good anti-noise feather.
