Preparation and photoluminescence properties of uniform LaCO3OH triangular nanoplates

Uniform LaCO3OH triangular nanoplates with a landscape dimension of 300-400 nm and a thickness of 20-25 nm were fabricated using a facile hydrothermal process. Analyses on the structural evolution of the products at different intervals revealed that the orthorhombic nanosheets acted as the key intermediates during the construction of the triangular nanoplates. The photoluminescence (PL) result showed one emission band centered at 576 nm (lambda(ex)=386 nm) of LaCO3OH triangular nanoplates. Therefore, LaCO3OH triangular nanoplates exhibited good PL properties under excitation and had great potential as luminescent materials.
