摘要

Sludges and sediments of wastewaters that are formed during biological treatment contain significant amounts of heavy metals, which is an obstacle to utilization of useful substances in the sludge. With the objective of developing methods for detoxifying wastewaters, we need to study the mechanisms for binding of heavy metals to sludge components. The values of the conditional stability constants for humic acids, amino acids, carbohydrates, and their mixtures with metals allow us to hypothesize that the reverse process is possible when certain conditions are created.
