摘要

Warm reverse deep drawing of 5A06 aluminum alloy under differential temperature was conducted experimentally to investigate the effect of the temperature value and gradient on the deformation behavior. With an initial temperature value of 300 A degrees C in the flange region, three temperature gradients (the temperature difference between the flange region and the center of blank) of 185, 100, and 25 A degrees C were adopted. It is shown by the experimental results that the thinning ratio at the punch corner increases from 1.4 to 4.6 % with the temperature gradient decreasing from 185 to 25 A degrees C, which implies that the thinning can be reduced with temperature gradient increased. Keeping the temperature gradient being 100 A degrees C, reverse deep drawing experiments were conducted under different temperature values of 200, 300, and 400 A degrees C in the flange region. The thinning ratio at the punch corner increases from 3.1 to 5.9 % with the temperature increasing from 200 to 400 A degrees C, which indicates that the thinning can be reduced by decreasing initial temperature. Moreover, fracture occurs at temperature above 300 A degrees C with even temperature in the blank, and it can be avoided with differential temperature in the blank, which implies that a higher forming temperature was allowed when a temperature gradient was imposed in the blank.
