摘要

The hydrothermal reactions of 5-bromoisophthalic acid (H(2)BIPA), benzotriazole (HBTA) with Cd(NO3)(2)center dot 4H(2)O in basified solvent gave rise to a coordination polymer [Cd-3(HBTA)(2)(BIPA)(3)](n) (1), which has been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 presents a two-dimensional (2D) layer network containing the edge-sharing ID -O-Cd-O chains through repetitions of the alternating arrangement of the Cd-3(CO2)(6) cluster and displays strong luminescent emission at room temperature.
