摘要

We propose and demonstrate a cost effective full duplex WDM-PON architecture supporting 10 Gbps point-to-point and 2.5 Gbps broadcasting services. A 10-Gbps point-to-point data is carried by downstream RZ shaped Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK) format, whereas 2.5 Gbps broadcast data is carried by Intensity Modulation (IM). The downstream data signal is re-modulated for upstream using an ON-OFF Keying (OOK) modulation scheme. Simulation results shows that error free transmission of both point-to-point and broadcasting services can be achieved at a distance of 25 Km with lower BER.
