摘要

Recent work has shown that network-based mobility management is more suitable for IPv6 over Low power Wireless Personal Area Network (6LoWPAN) while connected with the Internet infrastructure. However, network mobility or group mobility scenarios for 6LoWPAN networks have not been addressed well. In this paper, we propose a novel hybrid 6LoWPAN mobility management scheme in Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) networks based on mobile router proxy, which supports not only node mobility but also network mobility. Numerical results show that the proposed hybrid scheme outperforms the baseline scheme in terms of handover signaling cost and handover latency.
