摘要

The aim of the paper was to determine the long-term responses in dairy cattle herds after vaccination with inactivated bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) vaccines with regard to antibodies against p80 protein, as detected by ELISA, in bulk tank milk samples. %26lt;br%26gt;Thirty-three dairies that were going to be vaccinated for the first time with inactivated vaccines were followed during a 3-year period. During this follow-up, bulk tank milk samples were collected at the time of first vaccination and then every six months. Samples were analysed with a commercial ELISA based on the detection of antibodies against the p80 protein of the virus. %26lt;br%26gt;Results indicated that the level of antibodies increased with time after vaccination and consequently there is an impact of immunisation on bulk tank milk antibody results. Vaccination status of the farms should be taken into consideration when interpreting these tests.
