摘要

In this work a combination of reductive gases H-2 CO, and H2S escaping along the fault belts in central west Heilongjiang Province during the last two years are studied together with isotopes of C, H, S, He, and Ar to identify the deep-origination features of those reductive gases. Recent Anda earthquake is analyzed as an example to explore the relationships between escape of reductive gases dominated by H-2, the deep tectonic background, and seismology in the related area. It is concluded that escape of deep reductive gases implies factors of instability of the crust, which may also lead to earthquakes or other natural hazards. Research on outgassing of the Earth in conjunction with seismic activities could be helpful for earthquake prediction in such areas widely overlaid by Quaternary as the central west Heilongjiang Province.
