摘要

Achieving maximum spectral efficiency in future femtocell and high-speed train applications requires better channel models for wireless channels having multiple dominant specular components. Novel transformations that unify the non-central chi, generalized Ricean and kappa-mu fading models are derived. A new fading distribution model is given in closed-form. The fading model is flexible and simple representing multiple specular and diffuse scatter components, with a parameter allowing for adjustment of the severity of the fading. All parameters have clear and usefull physical meaning. The new model is related to the Ricean model as the Nakagami-m model is related to the Rayleigh model; the new model is related to the Nakagami-m model as the Ricean model is related to the Rayleigh model.
