Dispersity of Nano TiN in Water

摘要

Disperse behavior of nano TiN in water and the effect of surfactant polyethylene imine (PEI) on dispersity were investigated by sedimentation and viscosity measure, charge variation on particle surface was analyzed through Zeta potential, and the dispersion mechanisms were suggested. Results showed that pH value and dispersant PEI concentration have significant effect on dispersity for nano TiN dispersed in water. Isoclectric point is about pH = 5.2. Optimal dispersitive effect is obtained when PEI concentration is about 0.0614wt% with pH = 4.02. PEI changes charged property on the surface of particle. Electrostatic stability mechanism associates with the disperse behavior of nano TiN dispersed in water, electrostatic-steric effect contributes to the dispersity improved by PEI.
