摘要

Adsorption techniques are widely used to remove heavy metal ions from large volumes of aqueous solutions. Herein, thermally activated Na- bentonite, was applied as adsorbent for the removal of heavy metals from a modeled aqueous solution. Schematic diagram of adsorption installation was given. Advantages of this method and characteristics of heat-treated Na- bentonite, which satisfy all the basic requirements for extraction of inorganic ions have been established. It was proven that physical and chemical properties of heat-treated Na-bentonite make it appropriate to be successfully used in pseudo-boiling layers adsorption without filtering and cleaning water from Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+, and Cd2+ ions.
