摘要

Usually there are several identical generation units in a power plant. A dynamic equivalence approach is developed or the torsional interaction analysis of multi-identical-machine power system. By similarity transformation, the state matrix of an N-machine system can be transformed to a block diagonal matrix with N blocks on the diagonal, N - 1 of which are the same. Therefore, an N-machine system is simplified into the study of two types of simple single-machine systems, however all the information on system eigenvalues are preserved. The equivalence method was applied to a practical power system in Inner Mongolia, North China. The results achieved validate the functionality of the equivalence method.
