摘要

Three-dimensional finite element models are developed to investigate the effects of both tensile load and uniform temperature load on the stresses in hybrid joints. During the solution of the problem, finite element method (FEM) is preferred, as this method is very suitable for solving many engineering problems. An aluminum sheet is bonded a composite sheet. Hybrid joints are designed from both pinned joint and adhesively bonded single lap joint. The results pointed out that thermal high stresses occurred because of the different material properties of aluminum adherent, composite adherent and epoxy adhesive. If uniform temperature is applied to joint, stresses are higher than without thermal loading. Additionally, stresses are concentrated around the pin hole zone which is as very critical because of the high stresses.
