摘要
Fuel cells are devices that directly produce, by electrochemical reaction, electricity and heat from hydrogen and oxygen (or air). Currently, the most convenient source of hydrogen as an energy carrier for fuel cells is natural gas. Fuel Cells are promising energy conversion systems with a great potential for high efficiency and low pollution. Principles of operation, build and types of fuel cell are described. Utilization of fossil fuels and renewable sources to hydrogen, are also reported.
