摘要

This work aimed at evaluating the seasonality of the price of Brazilian pulp sold to the United States as a tool to support the decision making process. For this, exportation data of Brazilian pulp to the United States were collected in the ALICE-WEB System to determine, after deflation, the Seasonal Index for different periods between 1997 and 2010. The results showed that this variable; and consequently the monthly prices of this product varied up to 18%, with higher prices in the second semester. It shows that the companies of the sector should review their strategies of selling products, prioritizing periods of high prices. While the price is low, the enterprises can search for new markets or study the viability of product storage.
