摘要

In this letter, with a minimum element spacing constraint, an effective two-step approach to the synthesis of uniform amplitude linear arrays, which aims at minimizing the peak-sidelobe level (PSLL), is developed. An analytical method is adopted to achieve a local optimum array at first, then an iterative local-adjust procedure is developed to adjust the element positions in expectation of reaching a lower PSLL. Several numerical results compared to global optimum approaches confirm the effectiveness and outperformance of the new proposed method.
