摘要

An improved AMC (Artificial Magnetic Conductor) structure with patch sides inserted by small slots is introduced in this paper. For this novel improved AMC structure, a wide-band EBG (Electromagnetic Band Gap) can be achieved. At about 7 GHz, the simulated results show that the band width of band gap is increased by 240 MHz (about 15%) comparing with the conventional AMC structure. Practical circuits are fabricated, and the measured results agree with that simulated well.
