All the four halogen derivatives of tris(4-halophenyl)benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxamides were shown to form triple helical columns via N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. These columns have shown the tendency to assemble into porous materials in case of iodo, bromo and chloro derivatives via halogen...halogen interactions.
