摘要

Various factors responsible for uncertainties in the localization of the paleomagnetic L, Matuyama/Brunhes (M/B) boundary in loess formation sections are discussed. It is shown that the most accurate determination of the climatostratigraphic position of the M/B reversal is related to studies in various fields of paleogeography, geology, and geophysics; i.e., this is a multidisciplinary problem of Earth sciences. This paper proposes an effective approach to its solution.
