In the area jolted by the "5&middot12" Wenchuan earthquake, there are hundreds of enterprises that used, produced and stored more than one thousand chemicals. One of the most important works at the first time post-quaking was the elimination of the potential risks induced by the leakage of chemicals in the earthquake. In this paper, the on-site elimination of chemical exposure, and the risk assessment, risk identification and information disclosure are discussed and the emergent elimination and inspection of potential chemical risk sites are introduced also, which was an important reference to deal with induced risks in the similar disasters. It will provide a helpful reference to deal with induced risks in the similar disasters.
