摘要

For the cryogenic system of large capacity superconducting motors, a rotary joint (RJ) is usually installed to translate the fluid coolant from the static reservoir to the rotary cryostat in the superconducting motor. However, the sealing performance and heat generation and heat load are still not solved, essentially. In this paper, based on the characteristics of the large capacity wind generator with low revolution speed and sufficiently large space in the rotor, a novel cryogenic system suitable for 10 MW superconducting wind generators is proposed, with which the RJ can be removed. The design process of the cryogenic system is illustrated in detail. The characteristic analysis of the proposed cryogenic system is compared with the topology with the RJ from the aspects of sealing performance, heat generation and heat load, and the transmission line. It can be found that the proposed cryogenic system can improve the cooling efficiency and reduce the cooling cost.
