A Non-Vacuum Process for Fabrication of CIGS Thin-film and Its Properties

The non-vacuum fabrication of Cu(InxGa1-x)Se-2 (CIGS) thin film using the particle precursor inks was described. First the CIGS powder was synthesized by solvothermal technology from Cu, In, Ga and Se simple substance and then mixed with binder material, deposited to CIGS thin film via spin coating process. Based on this particle technology, the composition of precursor powder was transferred directly to the CIGS thin film. The structure, surface morphology and composition of the CIGS precursor powders and the CIGS thin film were studied through SEM, XRD, EDS and ICP. The results show that the CIGS particle consisted mainly of sphericity particles with the chalcopyrite structure preferred (112) orientation. The optical properties and electrical properties of the films had also been characterized.
