摘要

A multi-criteria decision function allows one to aggregate an alternative's satisfaction to the individual criteria to obtain the alternative's overall satisfaction to a decision problem. We provide a rule-based approach to the construction of these decision functions. Here, we make use of a measure-based representation of the importance associated with subsets of criteria. We then focus on the use of this multi-criteria decision function in the situation where the individual criteria satisfactions are interval valued. To have the capability of implementing the required ordering and comparing operations in the case of interval-valued information, we use the Golden Rule to provide a scalar representative value for these intervals.
