摘要

A luminescent three-dimensional metal-organic framework generally formulated as [Zn-2(OH)(sip)(bpe)(H2O)]H2O (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized. It represents a new two-fold interpenetrated pillared-layer framework with (6(3))(6(9) center dot 8) topology constructed from pi-electron-rich rigid ligand 5-sulfoisophthalic acid coupled with auxiliary ligand 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane. Interestingly, the strong emission of 1 could be quenched efficiently by trace amounts of Fe3+ at room temperature, even in the presence of other competing analogues, which indicated that 1 can serve as an excellent sensor for specific selective identification and quantification of Fe3+.
