A crime group identification model based on mobile communication vestige records

It is one of research hotspots in the field of criminal data mining by applying data mining technology and graph theory to Social Network Analysis (SNA) in crime groups or terrorist organizations. The research on communication behavior analysis of crime and terrorist organization is in an active exploring process for homeland security. In order to depict the cell phone communication activity rules of an individual in social networks, this paper proposed a Crime Group Identification Model (CGIM) based on time step by calculating the group similarity and the group members aggregation under different time steps. Based on CGIM, Communication Vestige Intelligence Mining Algorithm is developed. According to criminal member's telephone number and its authentic communication records, the experiment results verify the accuracy and practical use of the algorithm.
