An Obfuscatable Designated Verifier Signature Scheme

In recent years, designated verifier signature schemes have been widely used in the construction of privacy-preserving security schemes for various applications. However, under conventional techniques, the security of these schemes is only assured if the implementation of the designated verifier signature generation algorithm is running on a platform that is perfectly protected from various intrusions and attacks. As a complement to existing studies, this paper investigates how to generate designated verifier signatures securely in more austere security contexts. We present an obfuscatable designated verifier signature, and then devise an obfuscator for the proposed functionality. The efficiency of the proposed scheme and the obfuscator is analyzed, and the correctness and security is proved. Finally, we present experimental results that show the proposed scheme is efficient. Thereby, the obfuscatable designated verifier signature can be applied to various privacy-preserving security schemes to enhance their security.
