A novel printed small antenna with L-shaped structure for multiband applications

摘要

This paper introduces a novel L-Shaped microstrip patch antenna for multiband applications. The multiband antenna includes several L-shaped strips; each of these strips create new resonance frequency. The reported antenna is proposed for Bluetooth, wireless local area network (WLAN), worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), C-band and ITU 8 GHz. The ultimate designed antenna, with overall size of 15x25x1.6mm(3), has been fabricated on an affordable FR4 substrate and measured. Simulation and experimental results are acceptable and suggest that the reported antenna has good characteristics for multiband applications.
