A new method of attribute reduction for decision formal context

The demand for finding useful knowledge and information from the vast databases requires us to find some more effective ways to deal with the issue of attribute reduction especially for big decision formal context. In this study, we take the formal concept and the set theory as foundations. First, the mathematical descriptions of the characteristics of different attributes in the decision formal concept context are defined, which will benefit the searching of the minimum reduction and the effective expression of all the objects. Then, we investigate the method of optimization of the formal context. Finally, we generate a new partial-ordered attribute diagram to get minimum reduction and rule acquisition. It is verified through an example that the new diagram is complete and useful, and the partial-ordered attribute diagram can be used to obtain a minimum reduction. This method is much more feasible than the other ones.
