摘要

For magnetic data at low and middle latitudes, the reduction-to-the-pole technique can be used to eliminate or reduce the effect of inclined magnetization. In this paper, on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the existing reduction to the pole methods, an improved damping pole method is proposed, which is advanced in the filtering approach. In the filtering process, the improved damping pole method separates the filtering factor into amplitude spectrum and phase spectrum, and only the suppression of the amplitude spectrum needs be taken into consideration. Furthermore, the formula analysis and the theoretical model analysis both give the satisfactory results, the former proves that the method is more reasonable, less affected by the human factors, and the latter shows that this method can highlight the abnormal body information effectively.
