Use of surface water monitoring network for assessing measures mitigating the impact of "Zelazny Most" waste disposal site

Results of measurements carried out in the basic and extended networks for monitoring the water quality in the vicinity of Zelazny Most waste depository (wastes from Cu ore processing) were used to assess the impact of existing hydraulic facilities on the surface water in the whole area. Three scenarios assuming a no. of addnl. (virtual) pumping stations were developed and evaluated. Pract. recommendations for improving the water economy were given.
