A new distribution record of Hoya espaldoniana Kloppenburg, Siar & Cajano (Section Acanthostemma: Apocynaceae)

Hoya espaldoniana Kloppenburg, Siar & Cajano first reported from Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines, is also found growing in Burdeos, Polillo Island, Quezon Province, the latter locality being a new distribution record. Additional taxonomic information derived from field collections as well as from living plants in cultivation are herewith presented. A detailed illustration based on the holotype is also included. A comparison of the morphology of Hoya espaldoniana and its closely related species, H. anncajanoae Kloppenburg & Siar is provided as both species belong to section Acanthstemma, Apocynaceae.
