摘要
We present a semi-analytic study of space charge limited electron flow from spatially periodic field emitters in the absence of a magnetic field. This extends our previous works, in which we assumed the existence of a strong magnetic field guiding the flow. We find that, in spite of the non-uniformity of the current density in the flow direction, the total current is very close to that obtained with a strong magnetic field in the same geometry and applied voltage. An analysis of the flow structure and comparison with the magnetized flow is given.
