摘要

Purposes were to analyse motivational profiles in Physical Education with the Goal Questionnaire (Wentzel, 1989) and to verify differences in performance (globally or specifically in Physical Education) according to profile. 574 students of Secondary of Alicante (Spain), aged between 11 and 17 years participated. Results showed that there are 2 profiles (with high and low punctuation in goals), differences in academic performance according to the profile and that the variables with major weight to differ the subjects between both profiles were the mastery goals and the responsibility goals. The practical application to deriving is that to generate goals associated with high academic performance it is necessary to promote a task-involving climate.
