摘要
An on-axis Gaussian beam for any angle of incidence is expanded in terms of the spheroidal vector wave functions. With such an expansion, the problem of interaction between a couple of on-axis Gaussian beams and a spheroidal particle is studied in the framework of the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory (GLMT). The scattering characteristics are described in detail, and numerical results of the normalized differential scattering cross section are presented.
