摘要

A mobile station (MS) location can be estimated from the measurement of the time-of-arrival (TOA) of the signals that travel between base stations (BS) and the MS. The existence of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation paths has been considered to be the main drawback to high precision in positioning. To improve positional performance, these errors should be mitigated before TOA location methods are used. Considering that in a specific cellular environment, the measured errors caused by NLOS are certain, a NLOS error-mitigation method for TOA location in cellular network was proposed in this paper. The computation complexity of the method was low. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of this NLOS error-mitigation method.
