摘要

An ultrabroadband metamaterial absorber (MA) based on lumped resistors was designed, which was validated by simulation and experiment. According to the effective media theory, the equivalent electromagnetic (EM) parameters of the MA loaded with lumped resistors were calculated by the S parameters retrieved method. Results indicate that the ultrabroadband and stronger absorption of the composite MA are mainly originates from the excellent impedance match, electric and magnetic resonances. Further simulated results show that the composite MA is polarization insensitive and wide angle. Finally, the absorbance is greater than 85% the experimental measurement, and the relative bandwidth is about 130.2%. The designed ultrabroadband composite MA has potential applications in electromagnetic energy harvesting and stealth area.
