摘要
A new isophthalic acid, 2-acetyl-5-hydroxy-6-methoxyisophthalic acid (1), was isolated from the wetland soil-derived fungus Talaromyces flavus (No. BYD07-13). Its chemical structure was elucidated on the basis of UV, IR, MS, and NMR spectroscopic analyses. The anti-A beta (42) aggregation, cytotoxic, and antimicrobial activities of compound 1 were tested. Compound 1 displayed significant anti-A beta (42) aggregation activity with a relative inhibitory rate value of 55.01% at a concentration of 100 mu mol/mL. This is the first report that isophthalic acid has anti-A beta (42) agregation activity.
