摘要

The visualization method which combined morphological model and parametric L-system is proposed for animating the flower opening process. The mathematical model of morphological characteristics is presented by the observation of petal features. Moreover, we employ the curve deformation method to control deformations of the petals, which is achieved by analyzing the deformation rules within opening flower. The pistils and stamens are reconstructed by the improved frustum cone parametric equations and ellipsoid of 3D reconstruction. Compared with the existing systems that animate the development of flattened petals, the proposed method could provide vivid 3D petals. Experimental results have shown that the realistic image could reproduce the visual beauty of nature.
