摘要

In this paper, a novel reflective metasurface is designed to generate a circularly polarized orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortex wave in radio frequency domain. Based on the basic theory of reflectarray antenna, the radio beams carrying OAM with a specific topological charge is produced by individually controlling the reflective phase of each element. The feasibility of the proposed design is verified by the simulated far-field radiation patterns and near-field phase distributions. The reflective metasurface gives an effective way to generate OAM with its advantages of high efficiency and low profile in the radio communication systems.
