摘要

To improve the performance stability of the optical fiber coupler and reduce the impact on the output of the FOG, the model of the relationship between coupler splitting ratio and the various parameters is set up, and the impact of environmental change on the stability of single-mode coupler splitting ratio is analyzed. In addition, the model of the relationship between the stability of the splitting ratio and the output error of the FOG is also set up. Simulation and experiment show that, when FOG exists angular acceleration, the error of FOG output would increase with the increase of optical fiber coupler's splitting ratio. While it is greater than 1.4E-03/s, the output error will exceed the 0.001 (°)/h in less than 1 min, which will cause serious impact on the output of high-precision FOG. Some methods are proposed which can reduce the rate of change of the fiber coupler splitting ratio. The article could provide reference for the design of the optical path of the FOG and the selection of couplers.
